About the Job
Meesho is seeking a business oriented legal professional to join its Legal Team as Assistant Manager – Legal. The role offers significant exposure to corporate advisory, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance within a fast growing technology driven company.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified LL.B. with 5 to 7 years of post qualification experience
- Experience in a reputed law firm and or an in house legal role
- Exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance matters
- Experience handling cross border contracts and complex commercial negotiations
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS, technology, and strategic partnership contracts
- Advising on corporate governance and regulatory compliance under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and allied laws
- Supporting corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and restructurings
- Identifying legal risks and providing practical, business focused solutions
- Managing and coordinating with external legal counsel for specialised matters and due diligence
- Monitoring regulatory developments and recommending policy and process updates
- Enhancing contract management systems, compliance processes, and risk frameworks
