Legal Job Opportunity – Assistant Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold an LL.B. degree from a reputed law college or university in India.
- Have 4–10 years of relevant post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Possess experience in scheduled commercial banks or financial institutions, handling legal matters relating to digital banking or similar portfolios.
- Have a sound understanding of:
- Digital banking laws and regulations
- Payment aggregation
- IT outsourcing regulations
- Statutory, regulatory, and network guidelines applicable to digital banking
- Legal, operational, and technology frameworks governing digital banking products and services
- Certifications in Digital Banking, Financial Technology, or related fields from reputed institutions will be preferred.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing various commercial agreements, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- SaaS Agreements
- Software Licence Agreements
- Technology vendor and fintech partnership agreements
- Vetting product and process notes, policies, and terms & conditions relating to digital banking products and services.
- Advising business teams on legal, statutory, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
- Acting as the interface between external legal counsel and internal business teams.
- Monitoring and updating legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Bank’s business operations and internal policies.
