Corporate Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have:
- An LL.B. or JD from an accredited institution.
- Admission to practise law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of post-admission experience in corporate, commercial or in-house legal practice.
- Experience in commercial contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and employment law.
- Demonstrated experience with FEMA, including FDI, ODI, ECBs and RBI reporting and compliance.
- Experience advising on Indian GST matters involving procurement, manufacturing, exports of services, input tax credit, reverse charge and foreign-entity transactions.
- Working knowledge of Indian transfer pricing provisions, including the arm’s-length principle, documentation requirements and Form 3CEB filings.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High integrity, discretion and professionalism.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience in internationally distributed organisations.
- Familiarity with M&A, intellectual property, data privacy and corporate governance.
- Experience managing external counsel and cross-functional stakeholders.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Advising on corporate governance, statutory filings, board matters and shareholder matters.
- Drafting and maintaining governance documents, resolutions, policies and corporate records.
- Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier, consultancy, service, partnership, licensing and confidentiality agreements.
- Identifying legal and commercial risks and providing practical solutions.
- Managing litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings and dispute resolution matters.
- Coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Leading or supporting legal due diligence, negotiations, structuring and documentation for M&A, joint ventures, investments and restructurings.
- Advising management and HR on employment, workforce and workplace legal matters.
- Managing the organisation’s intellectual property portfolio and related agreements.
- Providing strategic legal advice to executive leadership.
- Developing scalable legal processes and governance frameworks.

- Location: Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala
- International travel may be required from time to time.
Salary and Benefits
- Compensation: Up to ₹15,00,000 per annum, depending on experience and current remuneration.
- Health insurance allowance.
- Two weeks of paid time off annually, along with national holidays and sick leave.
