Legal Job Opportunity – Legal Assistant (Techno Legal – Intellectual Property Associate)
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline (B.Tech. or B.Sc.) along with an LL.B. degree.
- 2–5 years of experience in Intellectual Property (IP) law and patent-related work.
- Hands-on experience using multiple patent search databases.
- Ability to develop patent search strategies and conduct comprehensive searches.
- Familiarity with open-source patent search tools.
- Ability to assess Intellectual Property risks and opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Conduct prior art searches using paid and open-source patent databases.
- Perform Freedom to Operate (FTO) analyses for products and technology platforms.
- Assess Intellectual Property risks and opportunities for products and technologies.
- Prepare responses to First Examination Reports (FER).
- Collaborate with inventors to understand inventions and assist in drafting Information Disclosure Forms (IDFs).
- Review and draft agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Review privacy and data protection-related documentation.
- Review Export Control Compliance documents for products and services.
- Review and provide guidance on the legal compliance of Generative AI use cases for products and platforms.
