Legal Job Opportunity – Associate Corporate Counsel (Fixed-Term)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold an LL.B. degree from a recognized university in India.
- Be an Associate Member (ACS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with a valid membership.
- Have 3–5 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Be a practicing lawyer or an in-house legal professional with experience in advising clients and independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Experience with both a corporate law firm and an in-house legal team will be preferred.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing legal advisory support across various Amazon businesses in India.
- Advising on intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce, company secretarial matters, and regulatory compliance.
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a broad range of commercial contracts, including procurement agreements, master service agreements, sales agreements, advertising agreements, and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Handling pre-litigation legal disputes and resolving issues arising from commercial relationships.
- Reviewing business initiatives and preparing terms and conditions for products and services.
- Reviewing and approving promotional and advertising materials for legal compliance.
- Supporting business teams by analyzing legal risks, business processes, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
