About the Organization
The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. It serves as a think tank and centre of excellence, providing capacity-building, research, and advisory support in corporate affairs, corporate law, governance, public policy, ESG, insolvency, business and human rights, AI governance, and other related domains.

Full-Time Internship Opportunity
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are invited from:
- Students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programme (final-year law students will be preferred).
- Students pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA/PGDM, and other relevant programmes in disciplines such as Social Sciences, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Management, IT, Public Policy, AI, Cyber Security, Environmental Sciences, HR, Library Science, and related fields.
- CA, CMA (CWA), and Company Secretary (CS) students.
- Students undertaking applied research projects, dissertations, or capstone studies for a minimum period of 20 weeks.
- Young professionals who have completed their studies within the last six months and are not engaged in any employment.

Selected interns may be attached to various Schools, Centres, or Departments of IICA and work on projects relating to:
- Corporate Law
- Competition Law and Market Regulation
- Corporate Governance and Public Policy
- Corporate Finance
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
- ESG and Sustainability
- Business and Human Rights
- AI Governance
- Information Technology
- MSMEs
- Corporate Communications
- Regulatory Governance
- Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
- Other areas related to Corporate Affairs.
Mode of Work
- Full-Time Internship
- Hybrid mode may be permitted at the discretion of the competent authority.
Important Dates and Timelines
- Minimum Duration: 1 Month
- Maximum Duration: 6 Months (extendable based on recommendations).
- Internship may commence on any day of a calendar month depending upon institutional requirements.
Stipend / Perks
- Honorarium of ₹10,000 per month.
- Interns opting for shared on-campus accommodation, subject to availability, will receive a consolidated honorarium of ₹5,000 per month.
- Internship Completion Certificate.
- Outstanding project work may be published on the IICA website or considered for IICA publications.
- Access to IICA’s Knowledge Resource Centre (Library) and research resources.
Application Process
Eligible candidates may apply through the official online internship portal or submit the prescribed application form along with the required recommendation from their institution.
Applicants are also required to submit a synopsis (maximum 1,000 words) outlining the proposed research topic, methodology, issues to be explored, and expected outcomes.

Selection Procedure
- Applications are scrutinized by the HR Division.
- Selection is made by the Internal Selection Committee (ISC) based on institutional requirements and available internship opportunities.
- For Winter and Summer Internship Cycles, the selection process may additionally include:
- Cover Letter
- Resume and Academic Documents
- Writing Sample (if applicable)
- Interview (if required).
Important Notes / Additional Information
- IICA generally offers up to 10 internships per month, extendable to 15 with approval.
- No claim for future employment arises from completion of the internship.
- No leave is ordinarily permitted during the internship.
- The internship report and research produced during the internship shall remain the intellectual property of IICA.
- Summer and Winter Internship Programmes are conducted separately on thematic areas of national importance.
