Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should:
- Hold an LL.B. degree with enrolment as an Advocate or possess an equivalent legal qualification.
- Have 4–8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial or corporate law.
- Demonstrate strong contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Have a reliable remote working setup.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Commercial Contracts
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating customer, vendor, and partner agreements.
- Advising on data privacy, intellectual property, product, and licensing matters.
- Developing and maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and standard documentation.
Legal Advisory & Risk Management
- Partnering with sales, product, finance, and other business teams to provide day-to-day legal advice.
- Identifying legal and regulatory risks and recommending practical business-oriented solutions.
- Supporting commercial decision-making while ensuring legal compliance.
Mode of Work
Remote
Candidates may work remotely from anywhere in India. The company is also open to applicants based in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior in-house legal experience with a technology, SaaS, or product-based company.
- Experience handling cross-border or US-facing commercial agreements.
- Familiarity with data protection frameworks such as the GDPR and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework.
