Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.
- LL.M. or Company Secretary (CS) qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in corporate legal, commercial contracts, compliance, or company secretarial functions.
- Prior experience with a CSO, NGO, or development sector organization will be an added advantage.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing legal agreements and handling corporate legal documentation.
- Exposure to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal advisory work is preferred.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, NDAs, MOUs, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Providing legal support on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management matters.
- Ensuring compliance with company law, labour laws, corporate governance norms, and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Assisting in corporate transactions, joint ventures, investments, and other commercial legal matters.
- Coordinating with internal teams and external legal counsel on legal matters and litigation.
- Maintaining statutory registers, board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and other corporate records.
- Conducting legal research and tracking regulatory developments impacting the organization.
- Supporting company secretarial functions, including board meeting documentation, minutes, statutory filings, and regulatory submissions.
- Liaising with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and contract laws.
- Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal documentation.
