Legal Associate I
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Hold a Diploma in Paralegal Studies, Certificate in Paralegal Practice, or be a recent BBA LL.B. graduate (specialization in Corporate Laws preferred).
- Have 0–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate fluency in English.
- Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Be willing to work flexible schedules to accommodate U.S.-based clients.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & NDAs
- Prepare and review standard Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Negotiate standard NDA provisions within approved legal guidelines.
- Review third-party modifications and ensure compliance with company requirements.
- Assist attorneys with negotiation and finalization of non-standard NDAs.
Compliance & Due Diligence
- Conduct compliance screenings of third parties.
- Support third-party due diligence processes.
- Assist with corporate compliance initiatives and investigations.
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Support management of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
- Draft standard vendor and supplier agreements using approved business terms.
- Assist attorneys in contract negotiations and finalization.
Legal Operations & Documentation
- Maintain and update standard legal agreements.
- Manage and organize contracts databases and records.
- Retrieve and maintain historical agreements and project records.
- Support legal matters involving external counsel, insurance brokers, and third-party administrators.
Ethics & Incident Management
- Assist in managing employee hotline and incident reporting systems.
- Prepare management reports and update case records.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an advantage:
- Corporate entity and records management.
- Company incorporation and registration processes.
- Board and management resolutions.
- Corporate compliance functions.
- Professional licensing renewals.
- SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
Technical Skills Preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Power Query).
- Intermediate Microsoft Word skills (styles, templates).
- Basic PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of Intellectual Property concepts and licensing.
