Legal Counsel
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university in India.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial contracting, gained in a law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements.
- Ability to work with global stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in technology, fintech, SaaS, or services industries.
- Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms and contract AI tools.
- Additional training or coursework in:
- Commercial Law
- Technology Law
- Data Protection Law
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Commercial Contracting
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including:
- Technology and platform services agreements
- SaaS agreements
- Supplier agreements
- Licensing agreements
- Services agreements
- Support client onboarding, contract renewals, amendments, and contractual queries.
- Assist with intra-group agreements involving regulated and non-regulated FNZ entities.
- Identify and escalate legal and contractual risks.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Assist with regulatory and compliance matters affecting FNZ’s operations.
- Support data protection, outsourcing, and governance requirements.
- Provide pre-litigation and dispute management support.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel where required.
Legal Technology & AI Responsibilities
- Utilize Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems for:
- Contract intake
- Drafting and redlining
- Approvals and execution
- Leverage AI-enabled legal tools for contract review and issue identification.
- Support audits, reporting, and legal data management initiatives.
- Contribute to the adoption of legal technology and process standardization.
