Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- LL.B. (Law Graduate) from a recognized institution.
- Candidates must possess extensive experience in handling legal matters relating to government organizations, government undertakings, service laws, labour laws, land laws, and liaisoning with Central/State Government offices and PSUs.
- Hands-on experience in drafting and vetting legal documents is essential.
Desirable Qualification
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification will be preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in handling legal matters in Government organizations, PSUs, companies, or similar entities.
- Experience as a Compliance Officer or Senior Legal Associate in large-scale industries, law firms appearing before High Courts, PSUs, or autonomous educational institutions will be an added advantage.
- Excellent command over English is essential, while proficiency in Hindi is preferred.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
The selected Legal Officer will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing an effective legal compliance framework for the Institute.
- Handling matters relating to civil laws, service laws, labour laws, and other statutory compliances.
- Managing litigation and proceedings before courts and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Assisting in Board-related legal and statutory compliance matters.
- Reviewing internal controls and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements.
- Supporting Internal Complaints Committee (IC) and Diversity & Inclusion grievance mechanisms.
- Ensuring compliance with RTI requirements, RPWD Act, and other statutory obligations.
- Updating and incorporating amendments in service rules and regulations.
- Liaising with external advocates and updating senior management on pending legal matters.
- Providing legal opinions and advice on institutional policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Performing other duties assigned by the competent authority.

Salary / Remuneration
- Monthly Consolidated Emoluments: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 (all-inclusive)

Selection Procedure
