Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized Indian university
- LL.M. or other advanced legal qualification preferred
- Enrollment as an Advocate with the Bar Council of India
Experience
- 7–9 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
- Experience comprising a combination of reputed law firm and in-house legal roles
- Prior exposure to the technology, electronics, or semiconductor industry preferred
- Demonstrated experience in leading or managing a legal team or legal function
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Lead the India Legal function as the primary legal advisor for India operations
- Partner with business leaders to identify legal risks and business opportunities
- Build, mentor, and manage the India legal team
Commercial & Transactional Work
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including:
- Joint development agreements
- Distribution agreements
- Vendor and sales contracts
- Logistics and services agreements
- Intellectual property licensing agreements
- Partnership and commercial contracts
- Support mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and integration activities
Advisory & Regulatory Functions
- Advise on:
- Intellectual Property Law
- Corporate Governance
- Commercial Law
- Competition Law
- Employment Law
- Data Privacy and Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with licenses, registrations, and regulatory approvals
- Support export control and trade compliance matters
Compliance & Governance
- Conduct vendor and third-party due diligence
- Support internal investigations and reporting mechanisms
- Strengthen corporate governance and compliance frameworks
External Counsel Management
- Manage relationships with external law firms
- Oversee legal budgets and external legal services efficiently
Desired Skills
- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate and regulatory laws
- Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-cultural environment
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing legal budgets and external counsel
