Type / Nature of Opportunity
Assessment Internship / Associate Trainee Opportunity with the possibility of conversion into a full-time Associate role.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Final-year students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course from a Bar Council of India-recognised university; or
- Freshers with up to 1 year of experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Final-year students must intend to enrol as an Advocate with the respective State Bar Council after graduation.
- Freshers must already be enrolled as an Advocate with the State Bar Council or be awaiting the result of their final AIBE examination.
- Candidates must possess strong legal research and drafting skills.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as SCC Online and Manupatra is required.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be engaged in:
- Legal research relating to GST, Customs, Foreign Trade, and allied laws.
- Drafting replies to notices, appeals, writ petitions, written submissions, legal opinions, and related documents.
- Assisting in litigation before adjudicating authorities, appellate forums, and tribunals.
- Supporting advisory, compliance, documentation, and case management work.
- Monitoring hearings, deadlines, and case developments.
- Exposure to additional practice areas including Intellectual Property Law and Civil Law.
Mode of Work
Offline / In-Office
Location: Rajendra Place, New Delhi
The selected candidate must work physically from the office throughout the duration of the assessment period and subsequent association. Work from home or remote work is not permitted.
Duration of Assessment
- Assessment Period: 6 Months
Stipend / Remuneration
- During Assessment Period: ₹10,000 per month
- Upon Conversion to Associate Role: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (CTC)
Selection Procedure
- The firm may engage up to 2 candidates for assessment.
- Only 1 candidate may ultimately be selected for the Associate role based on performance during the assessment period.
Important Notes / Additional Information
- Selection as an Assessment Intern or Associate Trainee does not guarantee conversion into a permanent Associate position.
- The firm reserves the right to terminate the association at any stage at its discretion.
- Candidates who do not intend to enrol as Advocates after graduation may have their association discontinued.
