About the Organization
High Court of Judicature at Bombay has invited applications for preparing a Select List of 24 candidates for appointment as Judicial Research Assistants on a contractual basis. The selected candidates will assist Hon’ble Judges of the Bombay High Court and its benches at Nagpur and Aurangabad, and the Circuit Bench at Kolhapur.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions:
- Law Graduates who have passed the final LL.B. examination in the first attempt with a minimum of 55% marks; or
- Candidates possessing a Post Graduate Degree in Law (LL.M.)
- Basic knowledge of computers, laptops, and legal research software
- Age between 21 and 30 years on the date of application
Preference
Preference may be given to candidates holding a Post Graduate Degree in Law.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Judicial Research Assistants will:
- Conduct legal research on matters assigned by the Hon’ble Judge
- Assist in judicial work
- Attend court proceedings
- Prepare notes and draft memoranda
- Maintain confidentiality in all assigned work

Duration
- Initial tenure of 1 year
- Extendable for one additional year based on recommendation and approval
Stipend / Honorarium
- Rs. 80,000 per month (consolidated stipend/honorarium)
Selection Procedure
- Personal Interview
- Total Marks: 50
- Minimum Passing Marks: 25
- Final selection subject to approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice

Important Notes / Additional Information
- Candidates must not practice as advocates during the assignment.
- Maximum admissible leave is 8 days per calendar year.
