Legal Job Opportunity
Position Title
Legal Compliance Officer
Eligibility Criteria
- Law graduates with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of in-house legal experience
- Prior experience in compliance tool management, preferably Lexcare Global
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in compliance audits and system design
- Knowledge of alcoholic beverage regulatory frameworks
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management & Tool Monitoring
- Managing end-to-end compliance across central, state, and industry-specific regulations
- Monitoring statutory timelines and implementation using compliance tools
- Maintaining trackers, calendars, dashboards, and audit checklists
- Conducting internal audits and identifying compliance gaps
- Coordinating with auditors, consultants, and regulatory partners
- Ensuring compliance with excise, warehousing, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), and industrial regulations
Contract Lifecycle Management
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating:
- Vendor and supplier agreements
- Consulting and retainer agreements
- Distribution and commercial contracts
- Settlement agreements and legal notices
- Developing and standardizing contract templates and clauses
- Managing contract execution, renewal, and closure
Risk Assessment & Legal Advisory
- Identifying legal, regulatory, and operational risks
- Advising business teams on compliance and transactional matters
- Supporting corporate governance and regulatory communications
Policy Development & Governance
- Drafting internal policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks
Documentation & Regulatory Filings
- Maintaining records of licenses, approvals, contracts, and filings
- Overseeing submissions and responses to regulatory authorities
