Legislative Research Intern (Policy & Research Vertical)
About the Internship
Politics for Impact is inviting applications for the position of Legislative Research Intern for the Monsoon Session of Parliament 2026. This internship offers practical exposure to parliamentary functioning, legislative drafting, and policy research.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should be:
- Students or recent graduates in law, public policy, economics, political science, or related disciplines
- Strong in writing, critical thinking, and legal/policy research
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Able to work in a deadline-driven, in-office environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience in legislative research
- Familiarity with Andhra Pradesh politics
- Knowledge of Telugu
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze government schemes and policy issues
- Draft parliamentary interventions, including:
- Starred and Unstarred Questions
- Zero Hour submissions
- Rule 377 matters
- Analyze bills and parliamentary committee agendas
- Monitor parliamentary proceedings and major developments
- Prepare reports and other research outputs
