Position
Research Fellow – Corporate Law and Financial Regulation Team
About the Role
The Corporate Law and Financial Regulation Team at Vidhi works on reforms relating to:
- Bankruptcy and insolvency law
- Company law
- Competition law
- Financial sector regulation
- Commercial laws
Selected candidates will work closely with the team on policy research, legislative drafting, stakeholder consultations, and legal reform projects.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Law
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience in corporate law and financial regulation
- An LL.M. degree may be considered as work experience
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to independently manage research assignments
Desirable Experience
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in:
- Insolvency law
- Securities regulation
- Competition law
- Company law, including transactional corporate practice
- Commercial laws
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be expected to:
- Conduct high-quality legal and policy research
- Undertake legislative drafting work
- Prepare reports, research notes, and presentations
- Coordinate and attend meetings with government officials and stakeholders
- Contribute to both engaged and independent research projects
