About the Organization
Indian Army is the land-based branch of the Indian Armed Forces. Through the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Branch, the Army inducts legally qualified officers to handle military justice, service law, disciplinary proceedings, and advisory roles within the defence framework.

Eligibility Criteria
- LL.B. degree (3-year or 5-year course) with minimum 55% aggregate marks
- Degree must be obtained from a Bar Council of India recognized institution
- Mandatory appearance in CLAT-PG 2025
- Candidate must be eligible for enrolment with a State Bar Council
- Unmarried Indian citizens (including specified OCI/PIO categories as per notification)
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Advising the Army on military law and service matters
- Handling court-martial and disciplinary proceedings
- Providing legal opinions on administrative, operational, and personnel matters
- Assisting in compliance with military justice and defence regulations
