The National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi is a premier public law university established under the National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi Act, 2010 by the Government of Jharkhand. About the Chair on Consumer Research and Policy
The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) was established in October 2024 at NUSRL, Ranchi by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. The Chair functions as a research and policy think tank in the field of consumer law and consumer welfare, promoting research, teaching, training, awareness programmes, seminars, workshops, and empirical studies on contemporary consumer law issues.

Eligibility Criteria
The internship is open to students from recognised law and non-law institutions and universities, including:
• Students of the second and third year of the three-year LL.B. course
• Students from the second year onwards of the five-year integrated law course
• LL.M. students
• Students from non-law academic backgrounds such as NITs and the National Institute of Design
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
• Research and writing in the area of consumer law
• Preparation and presentation of papers and reports on assigned topics
• Submission of a final report and presentation at the end of the internship
• Completion of four original works related to consumer law
• Adherence to confidentiality, discipline, and professional conduct standards

Online or Offline
Number of Seats
A total of 5 interns per month, including both online and offline modes
Duration
• Minimum duration of 30 working days
• Full-time internship with office hours from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for offline interns
• Flexible timings for online interns
• A short induction programme on consumer laws will be conducted on the first day
Stipend / Perks
• No stipend or honorarium will be provided
• Internship completion certificate will be issued upon successful completion

• After CV shortlisting, applicants must submit work samples, a design portfolio where applicable, and an essay on their proposed contribution to the Chair
