Eligibility Criteria
• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree and a consistently strong academic record
• Ph.D. must have been awarded on or before the last date of application
Specific Eligibility for Law and Related Schools
Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law
• Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in LLM after LL.B.
• Strong academic record throughout
• For Procedural Laws, minimum 5 years of litigation exposure in Civil or Criminal Courts of India
• Specializations may include Tax Law, Labour and Industrial Law, Criminal Law, Banking and Financial Laws, Insurance Law, Commercial Laws, Disability and Human Rights, Law and Technology, and Procedural Laws
Centre of Excellence in Public Policy, Law and Governance
• Ph.D. with first class in MA, MSc, or LLM after BA, BSc, or LLB
• Strong academic record throughout
Department of Education and Other Disciplines
• Postgraduate degree in the concerned discipline with Ph.D. in the same field
• B.Ed. is desirable for Education-related posts
Experience Requirements
Professor
• Minimum 10 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience
• At least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai, IISERs, or comparable institutions in India or abroad
Associate Professor
• Minimum 6 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience
• At least 3 years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent in comparable institutions
Assistant Professor Grade I
• Minimum 3 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, excluding Ph.D. period
Assistant Professor Grade II
• Candidates with less than 3 years of experience may be appointed on a contractual basis
• Entry-level pay at Level 10 or Level 11 of the Pay Matrix
• Progression to Level 12 upon completion of 3 years of requisite experience and satisfactory performance
