About the Job
Online applications are invited under the “Scheme of Engaging Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates on Short-Term Contractual Assignment in the Supreme Court of India – January 2024 (as amended)” for the preparation of a panel of approximately 90 candidates. Selected candidates will be engaged on a purely contractual basis for the term 2026–2027 and will assist the Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court in legal research and allied judicial work.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law graduates holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, including integrated law degrees, from a university or institution recognized by the Bar Council of India
- Students currently in:
- 5th year of a 5-year integrated law course, or
- 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. course,
subject to furnishing proof of acquiring the law degree before joining
- Strong research, analytical, and legal writing skills
- Working knowledge of computers and legal research databases such as e-SCR, SCC Online, Manupatra, LexisNexis, and Westlaw
- Age limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 32 years as on 07 February 2026
