About the Opportunity
Gurugram University, Gurugram has invited online applications for the post of Assistant Professor (Law) in the following specializations:
- Business Law
- Cyber Law
- Constitutional Law
- International Law
This opportunity is suited for qualified legal academics seeking a teaching and research-oriented career in higher education.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master’s degree in Law or a relevant or allied discipline with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade from a recognized Indian university or an accredited foreign university
Additional Qualification Requirements:
- Must have cleared UGC NET, CSIR NET, or an equivalent test accredited by UGC such as SLET or SET
OR - Must hold a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and subsequent amendments
Ph.D. Exemption Conditions (for candidates registered prior to 11 July 2009):
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode
- Thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
- Open Ph.D. viva voce conducted
- Minimum two research publications from Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal
- Presentation of at least two research papers in UGC, ICSSR, CSIR, or similarly sponsored conferences or seminars
Foreign Ph.D. Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university ranked among the top 500 universities globally by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings
