About the Opportunity
Lexis and Company is inviting applications from motivated law students and fresh graduates for roles as Junior Associates, Legal Interns, and Legal Trainees. This opportunity is designed for candidates who are serious about building a long-term litigation career through structured learning and hands-on court exposure.
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. courses
- Fresh law graduates
- Strong interest in litigation practice
- Willingness to work in a disciplined and structured environment
- Punctual, ethical, and respectful professional conduct
- Ability to follow instructions and meet timelines
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Court and Litigation Assistance
- Accompany seniors to courts and assist in daily proceedings
- Manage cause lists, next dates, and basic case follow-ups
- Learn court procedures, filing norms, and registry practices
Drafting and Office Support
- Assist in drafting notices, applications, affidavits, and basic pleadings
- Proofread drafts and organize case files
- Maintain records, indexes, and documentation
Case Preparation and Research
- Conduct legal research and case law compilation
- Prepare short notes, fact sheets, and case summaries
- Assist seniors during client conferences through note-taking and document collation
Professional Conduct
- Maintain strict confidentiality
- Follow office protocols, reporting systems, and professional etiquette
Mode of Work
Offline and office-based
Full physical presence required
Remuneration
- Legal Intern or Trainee: ₹3,000 to ₹7,000 per month
- Official court-related expenses reimbursed
- Performance-based progression after review
