About the Organization
The Competition Commission of India is a statutory body constituted under the Competition Act, 2002. It is entrusted with the mandate of preventing practices having an appreciable adverse effect on competition, promoting and sustaining competition in markets, protecting consumer interests, and ensuring freedom of trade across India.

Legal Internship Opportunity (Government Internship)
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students enrolled in:
- 2nd or 3rd year of the 3-year LL.B. course, or
- 4th or final year of the 5-year integrated LL.B. course
- LL.M. students
- Applicants must be Indian nationals
- Students from recognized universities or institutions with exposure to Competition Law
- Students with confirmed job placements are not eligible
Duration
- Normally 1 month, commencing from the first working day of the month
- Internship for 2 to 3 months may be permitted with prior recommendation from the concerned academic institution
Stipend / Perks
- Stipend of Rs 15,000 per month (honorarium)
- Electronic Certificate of Internship upon satisfactory completion, subject to mentor confirmation

- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis
- Applications must reach by the 1st day of the preceding month for the intended internship month

Interested candidates must apply in the prescribed format only. Applications in any other format will not be considered. The application must include:
- Duly filled application form (Annexure format)
- Recommendation from the competent authority of the academic institution
- Statement of Purpose of approximately 200 words

- Applications without institutional recommendation will not be entertained
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email
- The internship guidelines issued in March 2020 remain in force and are followed for monthly internship intakes
