It is responsible for enforcing economic and fiscal laws, including the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, the Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018, and allied legislation across India.

Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a National Law School or a recognized university or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of practice at the Bar or Court
- Experience in Criminal Law and or Fiscal Law
- Experience certificate issued by the concerned Bar Association is mandatory
- Candidates holding an LLM degree may be given additional weightage
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Directorate of Enforcement in matters related to:
- Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999
- Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002
- Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018
- Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973 and related laws
- Legal research, drafting, and advisory support
- Court-related assistance and case handling
