Internship Opportunity (Summer Placement)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be students currently in the penultimate year of:
• Postgraduate programmes
• Integrated five-year courses in Management, Statistics, Law, Commerce, Economics, Econometrics, Banking or Finance
• Three-year full-time professional bachelor’s degree in Law from reputed Indian institutions
All qualifications must be from recognized universities or institutions in India.
Areas of Work / Key Responsibilities
Selected interns will be placed in various RBI offices and exposed to different operational and research units, depending on the Bank’s requirements.
Mode of Work
Offline; placements will occur at designated RBI regional offices across India.
Important Dates and Timelines
• Application Window: 15 October to 15 December of the preceding year
• Internship Duration: Up to 3 months between April and July
• Interviews: January or February
• Final Selection: February or March
Stipend / Perks
• Monthly stipend: ₹20,000
• AC II Tier return fare reimbursement for selected outstation candidates undertaking the internship
• Exposure to specialized RBI departments
• Selected candidates must sign a declaration of secrecy prior to joining

Internship centres include various RBI offices situated in:
Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, North Eastern States, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Uttarakhand.
Application Process
• Applications must be submitted online only through the official portal.
• Candidates must carefully fill in personal details, academic information and the location of their college or institute.
• A valid College Authorization Letter or Bonafide Certificate, photograph and signature must be uploaded.
• Only one application for one control office is permitted.
• Incomplete or incorrect submissions will be rejected.
• No documents need to be sent physically.
Important Notes / Additional Information
• RBI will not guide candidates on eligibility queries.
• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews and must bear their own travel expenses for this stage.
• Suppression of information or false declarations will result in cancellation of candidature.
