Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has named all-rounder Hardik Pandya as the principle player for India in the impending men’s T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman in October and November.
“For India, when you need to win enormous competitions you need characters, individuals who are up for a battle. For me that is Hardik Pandya. He is there with the ball, he is there with the bat and he assumes a basic part with the bat on the grounds that each time India has flopped a smidgen or needs to up their run-rate he is the person. He can hit most bowlers to most pieces of the ground. T20 batting is a great deal about bat speed and he has a lot of that.
Indeed, even his bowling is extremely sharp. He’s proceeded to turn ahead of the pack, you can see him rambling on the ground, assisting different bowlers. For me he will be extremely basic,” said Karthik in an ICC Digital Show. The 36-year-old Karthik, who was an individual from the Indian group that won the debut T20 World Cup in 2007, brought up Nicholas Pooran to be a vital player for defending champs West Indies in the competition.
